An illuminating upgrade to the CityLink Sound Tube has delivered a modern transitional portal to the city of Melbourne. City drivers are rewarded with a drive through both architecture and light. Electrolight selected a light fitting which was minimal in aperture, colour changeable and able to withstand the harsh environment of a freeway. Commuters enter the Sound Tube through a dynamic display of colours which are programmed to evoke a shifting spectrum of emotions. The Sound Tube is also used as a branding device for the city, celebrating major Melbourne events through light and colour.
