Garden State Hotel

Melbourne

BRIEF

The redevelopment of the Garden State Hotel has produced an architectural delight and Melbourne’s latest go to space to eat, drink and be social. It was a challenge to work with such a large-scale venue and fashion a space that gives a sense of connection. Yet architectural lighting solutions managed to skillfully craft the right mood among the many drinking and dining spaces. It was also about conceiving a space which provided comfort, ambience and intimacy – from cocktail bar to courtyard to pub. Wall strip lighting throughout the venue acts as a pathway that leads customers around the circular venue. It’s a familiar arch that lights the way for patrons.

“It’s more of a sculptural installation.”
